À propos de cet audio

For decades, people have reported close encounters with extraterrestrial entities. Witnesses describe being kidnapped by large-headed, black-eyed creatures from other worlds. Those same creatures have become popularly known as "the Grays". There is, however, another aspect to the alien-abduction controversy.

Abductees very often report being followed and spied upon by military and government personnel. It is typical for abductees to see black helicopters hovering directly over their homes in an intimidating manner. Phone calls are monitored. Emails are hacked into. Strange men dressed in black suits are seen photographing the homes of the abductees. All of this brings us to the matter of what have become known in the domain of alien-abduction research as "Military Abductions", or "MILABS".

According to numerous abductees, after being kidnapped by aliens, they are kidnapped again...by the government. These follow-up events are the work of a powerful group hidden deep within the military and the intelligence community. It is the secret agenda of this highly classified organization to figure out what the so-called Grays are really up to. The best way for the government to get the answers is to interrogate those who have come face-to-face with the UFO phenomenon: the abductees.

Why is the government secretly compiling files on alien abductees? Is the alien-abduction issue so sinister that it has become a matter of national-security proportions?

A Great Male Narrator in Audio Books

I got this audiobook for free from Audible. Very captive with the stories and narratives. I've learnt some new information.

This man does his research.

It was eye opening to say the least. If I liked it you certainly will.

Mindblowing🙄

It is amazing to me that people read this stuff and conclude "Makes Sense..":
Yeah, the US Government is kidnapping people who were abducted by Aliens to head off an army of mind-controlled assassins - controlled by implants - doing the bidding of communist extraterrestrials (Yes, Redfern contends that the Government intentionally publicized silly theories to cast doubt on abduction phenomena, but that's one of the charges.. I'm not kidding).

I love this stuff - and actually pretty proudly maintain an open mind - but many of the contentions presented in this book are so ludicrous that I had trouble concentrating (it's hard to contemplate *anything* when you're literally crying with laughter). B-Movie plots presented as legitimate are a bridge too far for me, I guess.

That said,  Nick Redfern's vocabulary/prose is acceptable; the "series of anecdotes" approach he employs continuously renews interest (if you find a particular case too ridiculous - wait a few minutes.. the next one might grab you); and the author's touch is admirably light (he clearly recognizes how silly some of these stories are). Redfern is also incredibly imaginative: linking ET phenomena to J. Edgar Hoover & the FBI - and a laundry list of mysterious "Black" departments within the Government.
The book isn't nearly as thought-provoking as it aspires to be, but is undeniably fun.

It must be said that the narration from Kevin Kenerly doesn't add much to the quality of this recording, unfortunately. To be certain, his diction, timbre, and cadence are creditable - and he maintains a remarkably straight-faced pedogogical tone - but Kenerly doesn't offer anything another professional reader couldn't have provided.

If you can get this somewhat odd 4.5/10 star book as a 'Plus' option, it's not a crazy way to spend a snowy afternoon. Should they ask for a Credit, however, spending it would be hard to defend.

[Note: Redfern's foray into an incongruous charged discussion of the surveillance state is baffling]

A disappointing look at an outdated mindset

Redfern comes out of the gate swinging for the irrelevant ufologist belt with this outdated look on a modern phenomenon.

Spewing unverified information and painting the goverment as the big bad fortress of secrets well ignoring all the UAP news that has come to light over the years.

This book serves as a reminder of the so called "researchers" who pumped out book after book filled with sensationalized opinions displayed as facts to build a career rather than solve the mystery.

Good thing the book was free.

Hated the dialogue regarding sexual exploitation

Extremely insensitive when discussing the sexual assault and exploitation committed by the government. Boo. Hate.
