À propos de cet audio
Most of us have encountered a toxic person at one time in our life. These people are the ones that never fail to make you feel horrible about yourself. They do or say something, that is serious about you. You might be in the best mood you’ve been in for a long time, and that one person says a sarcastic remark. He/she gives you a dirty look.
They might have accused you of doing something to them or someone else that you would never do. They have a knack of ruining your mood, your life, and your day. If you so much as challenge the way they think, they will blame you, and everything immediately becomes your fault. You soon realize that once you have spent time with them, you will feel lousy. You are emotionally drained. You feel sick. You might sometimes experience being physically sick.
That’s how people become known as toxic. A simple definition of toxic is poisonous. That makes these people poisonous to you. Now, take it a step further!
A simple definition of poison is any substance that results in injury to an organism or can destroy life. So, by these two definitions, toxic relationships could end your life because they can be extremely poisonous to you.
Toxic relationships are dangerous. They are depressing, irritating, obnoxious, and annoying. They could get your fired. They could ruin your reputation. They can bring down your spirits. They will chip away at your self-esteem. They will destroy any relationship you try to have. You will throw you into a deep depression. They will make you sick. You might start having panic, or anxiety attacks, and your life will become miserable.
Toxic relationships can be any size, shape, color, or age. Some toxic relationships might be hard to see at first, but with time, their true self is revealed. We all have those toxic relationships that have dusted up with their poison. At times, we’ve been drenched. Difficult people are usually drawn to reasonable people. Some of us have had at least one person who has us bending like barbed wire trying to please them. Guess what, we never ever get there.
