He delves into being raised by a single mother in the Bronx and doesn’t shy away from his illegal activities as a young man that threatened to derail his future. At every turn, including throughout his naval career, Adeleke found a way to overcome the odds, even when it didn’t make sense. His is an inspiring story of true personal transformation.

Gripping Storyline
I enjoyed this author’s narration immensely. As a newcomer to Adeleke’s story, I listened eagerly to his amazing life experiences. The story is well constructed and tastefully worded. Thank you for an uplifting story.

Worth every minute of your time!!
Rarely do I find a memoir with such effective flow through time. Moving quickly through some sections and pausing on others created opportunities to relate, reflect and connect with the unexpected depth of change presented in this book. Family, struggle, faith, loss, love, peace...all presented with elegance and authority by someone who lived the experiences.

AWESOME!!
I just finished this audiobook and it was amazing! It was engaging through its entirety. Shows that we can get back up again and again and again after we fall. God is good. WELL DONE!

Love and inspiration
