À propos de cet audio
Looking to listen to one of the most exhilarating, captivating, and just plain ol' all-around best history books on three of the most intriguing decades of United States and world history?
What made the 1920s the most progressive period? Why were the 1930s considered the most discouraged decade? Want the true facts of the '20s, '30s, and '40s? This is not just a book by historians, but by real people who lived in the best of times, the worst of times, and the most tragic times.
Some say history is just opinion without fact. Some seem to know everything dealing with historical events and yet know so very little. Even with my learning, with an AA, BA, and MA+, I have come to the realization that dealing with history, I only know about the surface and a few feet under. What I have learned is the one who truly knows history is the one who lived through the events.
I'm a patriotic Vietnam veteran who loves talking about factual United States history. I assigned my students to interview people who lived through the Great Depression and World War II, and the stories were so incredible, intoxicating, and captivating that I promised them I would write the best US history book using their great grandparents, relatives, and neighbors who lived during those crucial periods of United States history.
