Wanting more in life than what Riley's small town of Crossville, Alabama, had to offer, she decided to follow her dream of becoming a big city lawyer. She moved 1,100 miles away to Philadelphia where she was accepted into the University of Pennsylvania as a pre-law student and later graduated from their law school and passing the bar on her first try. She was hired by a prestigious law firm, became very successful and thought she was living the perfect life but after being away from Crossville for 20 years, her heart kept telling her to go home.
