Life and Death Review

This review is for the Life and Death version of the story. The narrator was good, he did a good job. The story was alright, I didn’t love it. Found it a little hard to get invested in. Some of the characters seemed really off... I think it’s because the story was intended to be from a females POV, the transition to male POV was a little jarring for me. But to each their own, I’m sure other listeners will really enjoy this book, it just wasn’t for me. The one thing I will say I enjoyed was the ending. I won’t give any spoilers, I’ll just say it was a bit different than the original story, so I found that interesting. #Audible1

Life And Death

The voice acting was Absolutely Fantastic I loved the gender swap and the diffrent pov as a male it was alot more Relatable and interesting. Life and Death 2 please I wanna see the Continuation of this story.

Fun first listen.

This is an odd Audiobook. I loved it at first but the more times I listened to it the more I disliked it. Why is that?
Either way, this was a fun change of perspective to the admittedly hard to stomach Twilight. Bella is such a horrible character and Edward is creepy as hell, but I found that after listening to Life and Death, I am ultimately just very dissatisfied with the story in general. This is supposed to be romance but it all feels so immature and impulsive like what a teenager would think romance is. Michael Crouch gave a solid performance, however. He did a very good job with what he had. I can't say the same with the second half of the audiobook, however. Ilyana had absolutely no enthusiasm in telling the story, at least none that I could feel.

Amazing Book!

I loved this book ... it brought me back to the twilight world and its a defently a second read for me in the future. I just wish there was more to bows adventures, cause I would so read them

I finally get it now.

for years I was a hater on twilight, I just didn't get it. After Life and Deatg though, I finally get the hype. sometimes it just takes a role reversal to change someone's mind and it did for me. to the point where I'd absolutely LOVE and pay to see a Film. the ending alone deviates so much from the original that I REALLY want to see a continuation, I really would love to see where the story goes, would there be a way for Edith to get pregnant? or would it go a completely different direction due to the swap? I actually went back to watch twilight and although I'm not a fan of the acting itself I can safely say, I get it now. Please make a sequel Stephenie Meyer and sign off on film rights. I will give you my money gladly.

Very Enjoyable

Really enjoyed the rewrite done for Life And Death before hearing Twilight. Really drove home the similarities and differences in a good way. Made me remember when I used to write fanfiction when I was in high schools. Parallel universes are a lot of fun.

Great Stories, Questionable Performances

I'm not a fan of the narrator for Life and Death; there wasn't very much emotion or variation in his performance.

Fine, not great

Both stories are fine. I enjoyed the new ending given to Life and Death but wish there would have been more variation in the ways that the characters acted and dealt with things. A lot of it felt like Stephanie Meyer just swapped out names and pronouns. Neither narrator was great, I didn’t feel that they matched the characters that they were trying to give voice to
