Some you win, some you lose.

Just a fantastic story, vivid characters that come alive with this gifted narrator. Unexpected twists of plot, and religion seems to bring out the evil in humans, while others quietly serve their God in humility. S. Laplante’s amazing, thoughtful story leaves unanswered questions, but that’s life, and you move on, as Jane says.
