À propos de cet audio
"Bob, you need to get here as soon as possible. I think someone broke in last night."
"What? Don't you think you should have started with that?"
"I thought it was you. That is why I called you," I said, already panicking.
"I am on my way. Call the police and get out of there now. Someone could still be in there."
He ended the call, and I just stood there, looking around, trying to find the courage to pick up the phone and call them. I don't know why but I thought it would be a good idea to look around first. To see if there was any money or stuff missing. As I looked behind the counter I saw that our register was intact. Not good news. That means whoever broke in, didn't get in for the money. Then for what? Books? I don't think so.
I looked around the store and just when I was about to take my phone out again and call the police I noticed there was something laying on the ground behind the front bookshelf. Oh my God, what if it wasn't something. What if it was someone. I slowly started walking towards it. As I got a bit closer I saw that it was definitely a hair. A curly, red hair.
It could be a murder. I knew that I was not ready to see a dead body for the first time in my life. I came closer. I felt chills coming down my spine as I realized, it wasn't a dead body. It was a mask. A clown mask, lying on the ground.
As I was trying to process what I was seeing I heard something move behind me.
"Are you okay?" someone asked.
I screamed from the top of my lungs and turned around.
"Woah, calm down. I didn't mean to scare you, I'm sorry."
It was Paul.
He came in and gave me a hug.
"Are you okay, what happened?" he asked.
"He was here!" I cried out.
"What, who was here?" he asked again.
"That maniac clown. He was here, he left a mask. Or dropped it, I don't know."
His face changed. "Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yes, look it. It is right there." I turned around and pointed to it.
"Oh my God, did you call the police yet?"
