À propos de cet audio

The Heavens fear a shining soul. Defiant, the virtuous cultivator ascends.

Lio Aetos is the Young Aristocrat and heir apparent to a legendary Greek sect, a prodigious talent born and bred for glory.

Solus is a slave, a disgraced patrician from the fallen city of Rome with nothing to his name.

They're as different as the East is from the West. Yet both of them hunger—to cast off the threads of Fate they’ve been given. To reach for a higher purpose.

In this world of ruined empires and long-forgotten gods, the Young Aristocrat and the Son of Rome share an unyielding conviction. As brothers, they will face tribulations and climb the divine mountain of Olympus.

It is a mad thing. It is utterly against the will of the Fates.

It is cultivation. It’s the mark that every philosopher bears plainly on their soul.

Ingeniously combining xianxia and cultivation elements within the world of ancient Greece, Y.B. Striker brings a fresh take on progression fantasy that is brimming with wit, adventure, and larger-than-life characters.

Finally!!! A good one!!

Went in expecting nothing, and I came out with it being in my top 5 cultivation fantasy. A genuinely unique take on the cultivation genre that has been getting pretty stale for me as of late. This book just breathed new life in this category for me and is even supplemented by the PHENOMENAL production. No stats, no agenda, no lazy world building. It uses the ancient greek foundation well and paints a world that is quite suited to cultivation. I only have 3 MINOR gripes.

1. The typical words and phrases used in cultivation books are noticeably ABSENT, lol. Words like cycle, Dao, chi, meridians. Familiar concepts that are universal or at least common in other books of the same genre are either gone or replaced with a GREEK alternative. This isn't a bad thing itself, but the author (like the greek philosophers of old) tends to go on tangents and throws around words that mean one thing to me but have some broader importance to greek cultivation that i have to piece together through sheer context alone.I would HIGHLY recommend getting a text version and follow along so you dont miss anything otherwise you could get lost in the salad dressing real quick.

2. The voice actors for Sol and Lio have CLEARLY different mics.Sols is the worst sounding one. He still did a phenomenal job, but it can be...distracting. It's like listening to a call where one guy has a $200 headset and the other guy has a $20 one. Noticeable.

3. It's a royal road book, so it's gonna sound episodic at times and feel a bit choppy instead of a fluid story. Several times, I wondered if i skipped chapters.

It's still a great book. I plan on listening to it again before the second book releases.

Can’t wait for the next one!

Incredible, both the story and performances were a cut above most of the others books here.
