À propos de cet audio
Can you stop the spread of vitiligo?
What is the latest treatment for vitiligo?
In this guide, Karl White writes about: types, symptoms, causes, and treatment. All you need to know about it!
Psychosomatic and Genetic Causes
What causes vitiligo genetics?
It sometimes "runs in families", suggesting that genetics may play a role. People with vitiligo often report that its onset was related to a specific triggering event, such as injury, illness, sunburn, emotional stress, or pregnancy. However, there are currently no data supporting that these factors cause vitiligo.
Natural Cures for Vitiligo: How to Treat White Spots
The exact cause of this skin condition is still unknown, but experts believe that it can be due to an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system itself attacks the melanin-producing cells.
Other causes that may contribute to this problem are vitamin B12 deficiency, genetic predisposition, excessive stress, and overexposure to sun rays. It can also be caused by superficial fungal infections like eczema, tinea versicolor, psoriasis, or other skin conditions. Irrespective of the cause, the problem causes embarrassment and kills your self-confidence. But don’t lose heart as there are home remedies to solve this problem.
Guidance and Support for Parents Having Children with Vitiligo
An estimated one million to two million people in the US live with vitiligo - more than half of whom are children and teenagers. While vitiligo is not dangerous to a child’s health, it can be distressing for children and teens to feel “different” from their peers.
Understanding the unique needs of children and teenagers can help them feel confident and comfortable in their skin.

decent intro to what vitiligo is
Is was decent overall. I already knew most of what was said but I imagine for those who are completely ignorant about Vitiligo and are struggling with it could find some benefit from this book. I would suggest this book particularly to parents who are ignorant available and have a child that has just been diagnosed.
