À propos de cet audio
Waylon Jennings gave up his spot on a flight that changed music history. His mentor, Buddy Holly, took that seat and was killed when the plane crashed.
Born dirt poor, Jennings went from country disc jockey to country superstar, leading the revolution in country music with his platinum album The Outlaws. Through his eyes we see the Nashville scene in the early days, and through his honest, no-holds-barred storytelling, we follow his struggle to overcome drugs and impending bankruptcy to establish himself as one of the living legends of country music.

Good Introduction for New Fans
First and foremost the narration by Waylon is great.
Had this not been the case I would have passed on this as it is a pretty brief memoir of his life and career. Would’ve liked a bit more of a walk through album by album and some insights and stories on the events, thoughts and production of each.
Would’ve been excellent to hear tell of tales of Waylon’s time with Billy Joe Shaver, Haggard, and Jones and some further details of his time with Willie, Miller and Cash.
I will say it is a good introduction to Jennings and his music for new listeners or people who prefer a light listen.
