A pleasant story that felt like I was sitting at a cafe people watching and perhaps eavesdropping on the workers and the other patrons.

Easy listening

Listening to this story gave me a sense of relaxation, at times I was confused on what was happening and how the characters got to talking about certain topics, but that could be my own fault for just spacing out. To see how the characters didn't know how to live their lives was comforting to hear about, as in real life there is also struggle to figure out how you should live your life. Going to university, working a corporate job, is that what makes life good just because that's what society says you should do?

The story is interesting, albeit a little hard to follow sometimes. There were times that I would have to rewind to figure out how it got where it was going. The characters are very relatable, from issues around personal relationships to career goals and life aspirations. The narrator is fabulous! Her voice is very pleasant to listen to and she does a great job at reading with intonation without sounding like she’s trying to be in a play… I don’t know if that will make sense to others, but some narrators just sound too theatrical for my liking. The narrator was perfect for me!
