She uses the children of Faerie to sustain the magic granted to her by the cursed gem atop her crown, which has carved her from the girl she once was into a dark vessel, obsessed with power. She thrives on cruelty, and wields our love as an instrument for pain.
Now, I’ll play the games of the Fae.
I’m a curiosity, my presence an enigma that was never foreseen. I may not be Mab’s daughter, yet she still keeps me close, as she forges me into a weapon against humans and Fae alike. Mab may not own me yet, but she controls the life of the man I love. There is nothing I wouldn’t do to see him freed.
Even if I have to become the villain to do it.
What Lurks between the Fates is book three in a series and ends in a cliffhanger. It features content that may be offensive or triggering to some listeners.

tedious torture
I liked the first book even though it was an obvious plot twist, the second book was spicy and good but this book makes me really question if I'll bother with the fourth.
The entire book was just the same boring thing on repeat, nothing new or exciting, no new knowledge gained, nothing good added to the plot, the spice was trying to hard most of the time and honestly made me so annoyed with the FMC for being so dumb and useless. Pretty sure the entire book could have been summarized into 100/200 pages and had the rest of the book actually be about something and give some answers.
The performance was good, nothing special, not the voices I feel fit the characters though but still good.

athis book was a bit better then the previous, but it felt like mostly filler. man is a good villain, but this book just felt like her trying to push the couple to do things they don't want, and sex. And if Estrella has a way with snakes, how is she not able to block or even get rid of the snakes that Man wraps around people's hearts to control them? I most likely won't be reading the next book.

Could be better
This book took a serious tumble. The other three were awesome, but the FMC made so many mistakes in this book that it frustrated me. She couldn't control herself, and that cost her her freedom. I sincerely hope she can redeem herself in the next volume, otherwise this series will be worse than I assumed.

Greek mythology meets ACTOR and more sex
I find it so odd when a male voice actor dies a female voice, but it's nice to actually hear a make voice for the main character when it's his point of view.
Story was good, especially if you enjoy Greek mythology. This whole series already started with that in book 1, but it was nice to see more of it in book 3. It also reminded me of book 1 of ACOTAR, with the mad power queen controlling those around her.
I know the author enjoys ending with a cliff hanger, but I think we all knew it was going to end at this cliff hanger one way or another. Story can be predictable at times, also you can also start to get frustrated at Estrella, again, but I think the author may have wanted that.
I hope in book 4 the girl finally shows the back bone she has within her.
For those who enjoy the spice, this definitely has.
The amount of it reminds me of a mild version of Game of Thrones.
For those who don't have the stomach for blood and gore, proceed with caution.

Started well but then it totally lost me
This series had such potential the first book took a while to get me into it and I found it really predictable, the second book was better and the spice was great!
This book had way too to much torture there’s just so much someone can take, you need to split up the book with an escape and hope but it was just a lot of doom & gloom!
I think this series could have finished and wrapped up in this book but the author decided to prolong it. They we’re so close and make stupid choices I’ve now lost my patience with this series no matter how good the spice is the storyline has just fallen flat

The concept is there how ever .....
I was intrigued by the first book and was pretty interesting second book the female character decided at some point to be her own hero and ended screwing up, and she never learned one mishap after another this book I was hoping things would get better the main female character would thrive and become great yet no I was sadly disappointed I hope there is a book 4 that will redeem this series and as for the amount of sex that goes on after a while it got boring, and I would skip that part all together.

Waste of my Life
3 books in and it’s still a slow pace where nothing actually happens. They want to be happy and bonded, but the same plot line plays out in slow motion for 42+ hours. And the main character’s struggles and conflict are all self inflicted with dumb choices. This book could have ended with the bond and them fighting Mab together and navigating that in a fourth book, but now we just moved backwards and I feel like I’m in book 1 all over again. I won’t be continuing the series. End it already or get new material.
