this book was amazing, the depth and detail that it went into was absolutely stunning! a must read or listen to for any true crime fan. the history behind these cases and the thought processes explained are phenomenal

Breaking a Glass Roof
This is an account of true events and one detective that decided that to prevent murders you had to first understand the mind of a murderer. What better way than to learn how to properly interview murderers so they share their way of thinking. This was early days for profiling.

Great content, but blah reading
I learned so much and really enjoyed the content of this book. However, the narration was pretty dry and a bit challenging to get through. I also found that the author had a habit of discussing all the praise he’s received. It definitely seems like well deserved praise, but I don’t feel like it was necessary for the book.
Awesome content, but I’m glad to move on to my next read.

Fascinating content. narration is brilliant.
This book is a fascinating look at the minds of serial killers brought to you by the FBI agent who worked tirelessly to fight for the importance of understanding what made these men do what they did. A must-read for any True Crime aficionado.

Excellent Overview of Profiling Serial Killers
I was quite impressed with this audiobook. The author takes you on his own personal journey through profiling some of the most notorious serial killers to have crossed the USA from the 60s on. He also details how he founded his group within the FBI. His recounting of work with Ed Kemper and Jeffrey Dahmer is interesting as well as one of the first cases you are introduced to in the book, Richard Trenton Chase.
As a novel I found this book very interesting, and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in this sort of field. As an audiobook I found the narrator engaging, what I might expect the author Ressler to sound like. The story line was very engaging and overall, the audio book well read. Worth 5 stars all round.

for a biography this is a very good book. it wasn't dry and boring. you want to learn the information that is being presented. it is not a mystery story or novel in any way.

Very interesting
Very well arranged book. The topic is explored in a way that makes sense, letting you learn about the criminal psychology of specific types and learning about real cases where the types are observed.
