À propos de cet audio
For ages three to eight. Baby Edward stories are specially formulated to get children to sleep at bedtime. This story includes sound effects, ambience, and soothing music (the Baby Edward "Bed Time Tune").
The tale is set at one of Baby Edward's favorite locations - the waterfall. The noise of the waterfall is closely linked to "white noise" which is widely used as a sleep aid for babies and likened to sounds experienced in the womb. Further techniques such as repeated melodic phrases (read in hushed, gentle tones) and characters that yawn (studies have shown this to be contagious, especially with children) are used to lull the listener to sleep as the story unfolds. Diversion is also used with words outside of a young child's vocabulary (which can encourage the mind to drift). These elements are delivered with a structure that has been carefully honed over time to provide a relaxing, sleep-inducing bedtime listen. Always start at the beginning, and if all goes to plan, you won't reach the end!
In Who's There?, Edward and friends have to guess who is making lots of different animal noises behind the waterfall. Monkey is the master of ceremonies, but he's not giving anything away as Edward and friends try to see through his tricks and solve the mystery.
