À propos de cet audio
Sebastian Volkov, a fox shifter raised among werewolves, ran from everything he ever loved after a brutal attack that left him fearing his own shadow. That night a single kiss saved his life and left him with fantasies of a man whose face he couldn’t remember. When Sebastian’s car breaks down in a small Washington town, he meets an alpha werewolf who reminds him vaguely of a stranger’s kiss.
A year ago, Liam Ulrich, alpha of the Northern Cascade’s pack, shared a magic-filled kiss with a virtual stranger, the infamous Witchblood child of the most powerful werewolf in the world. Since that night, Liam has been waiting for Sebastian to find his way home. Liam knows that Sebastian doesn’t trust easily, or at all, so he’s going to have to give his prickly mate time and space.
The past Sebastian tried to escape still stalks him, and slowing down gives it time to catch up.
When the werewolves’ ultimate enemy rises up to cast its shadow over them all, Sebastian realizes he will have to stop running or risk losing everything...including his hope of a future with Liam.
Edit: Edition updated to reflect minor character changes, grammatical corrections, and a removal of about 500 words.

when is the second book coming out on audiobook?!
this introduction to the genre was probably a bad choice - it's going to have ruined me because now I'll be expecting all my paranormal romance to have excellent world-building, an engaging and original plot, believable character development, all while on the edge of my seat for the thrilling action and scintillating moments of intimacy.
I was not expecting anything like what I got, I thought it'd be an amusing background noise to weekend chores and meal-prep, but instead I had to stop and pay attention because I found the world-building so interesting and the foray into Underhill unique and captivating. I'll be reading and listening to more from this author for sure (and have already read the next book in this series but I'll listen to it too if it comes out by the same narrator).
my only complaint is that the narrator sounded a little too whiny for my tastes when voicing women and children, but it wasn't too jarring when Sebastian's voice felt relatable (the way our internal monologues are suave but what we say out loud betrays our insecurities) and the way the accent was used for Liam was just *chef's kiss* perfect with the developing context of the story. I'm disappointed that the narrator doesn't have more works available!
A++ will re-listen and re-enjoy!

Definitely “inspired” by Patricia Briggs
I liked the storytelling and the characters. Audio quality was great. If you have read Briggs’ Mercyverse books you will see a great deal of similarities such as the Marrok vs the Volkov. At times I did wonder if this was fan fiction, but Kasey does try to make the characters her own, with slightly different mythology.
