Flower child, vegetarian, and humanitarian Harlow Pratt and gruff cattle ranch foreman Hugh Pritchett have been taunting each other for years. Hugh and Harlow have a past, and we flick back to that a bit at the beginning of the book. Then we are all in the here and the now. 3 years ago, Hugh was in no state of mind to appreciate what Harlow could offer him. 3 years later, Harlow isn't willing to give in to what Hugh wants to give her. Both have demons in their past, but they share them. By sharing them, they grow closer, but the end is always there, hanging over them. They can talk about others, but they forgot sometimes to share about each other. This is almost their downfall, but they pull through to get the HEA they both deserve!
