À propos de cet audio
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Can’t get enough of Joe Goldberg? Don’t miss the latest thriller in Caroline Kepnes’s compulsively enjoyable You series, with an all-new plot not seen in the blockbuster Netflix show.
“Fiendish, fast-paced, and very funny.”—Paula Hawkins, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Girl on the Train
NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY MARIE CLAIRE
Joe Goldberg is done with the cities. He’s done with the muck and the posers, done with Love. Now he’s saying hello to nature, to simple pleasures on a cozy island in the Pacific Northwest. For the first time in a long time, he can just breathe.
He gets a job at the local library—he does know a thing or two about books—and that’s where he meets her: Mary Kay DiMarco. Librarian. Joe won’t meddle, he will not obsess. He’ll win her the old-fashioned way . . . by providing a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand. Over time, they’ll both heal their wounds and begin their happily ever after in this sleepy town.
The trouble is . . . Mary Kay already has a life. She’s a mother. She’s a friend. She’s . . . busy.
True love can only triumph if both people are willing to make room for the real thing. Joe cleared his decks. He’s ready. And hopefully, with his encouragement and undying support, Mary Kay will do the right thing and make room for him.

“Caroline Kepnes must be some kind of storytelling sorcerer. How else can Joe Goldberg . . . be such an entertaining narrator? This high-wire narrative act continues to work because Kepnes is brilliant.”—The New York Times Book Review
“Kepnes is among an elite group of writers who have crafted such compellingly charismatic criminals that they’ve both transfixed readers and transcended the page . . . one of fiction’s boldest, most inimitable voices.”—Criminal Element
“Joe Goldberg has become a cultural mainstay . . . Kepnes has mastered the likeable villain with Joe, crafting an affable character with rock-solid reasoning behind all of his horrific actions.”—Rolling Stone

What Even......
I will admit, I was bored by probably the first ten chapters. Joe wasn't doing many crazy Joe things. But this book read like a Roller Coaster. A domino effect of shit hitting the fan and the last Third was excellent.
As always Santino Fontana did an excellent job as the narrator.
I think this isn't as good as book one but is better then book 2.

Consistently a good story.
From book 1 up to now the story continues to dry me in. I find a lot of times sequels loose steam over time but this one keeps me interested and listening . The narrator has an easy to listen to voice and does a great job as well.

Lackluster
I am a huge fan of this series and Kepnes as an author, but this book fell short. It reeked of the author writing for the sake of money rather than having an actual plot line. She purposely leaves characters behind at the end of books so he has new "prey" for the next and this one is no different.
The characters and basic plot were a watered down version of book one. There were too many similarities and Joe came out of the gate hostile and impatient. He was also a victim to a lot of useless things in this book. The relationships he had were shallow and didn't seem necessary. I didn't hate this book, but she needs to let this character rest. He is done, but there is definitely another book on the way.
The narrator Santino is phenomenal as always, and I will listen to anything read by him.

Another masterpiece!
I’m completely hooked!
Joe is creepy, modern complex, yet relatable.
It has been a while since I was so engaged in a novel. Caroline Kepnes knocks it out of the park, and Santino Fontana brings Joe alive like no other!
A mist read!!!

sadly, pretty bland
anytime the storyline started to get interesting it was immediately killed. too many deux a machina and convenient plot contrivences. well done on Kepnes for creating a great little money-making book series, hope she's using the cash for animal rights or victim services or something besides wearing the skins of murdered beings but it's actually awful. her hero is a misogynistic murderer stalker and I'm supposed to want him to succeed? the only interesting characters are conveniently suicidal. I wont be back for any further sequels. was hoping for some kind of atonement or at least his just desserts. can't connect with him, the MILF, or the meerkat. waste of money. waste of time. narrator is great though

Not the Joe I know and love..
I have read and listened to the first two novels, and will follow this characters story until the end. This may however, be a red flag of my own. The inability to give up when things get bad. And this, was bad.
The story lacked the edginess and sexiness I read and loved from the first two novels. I think perhaps this time around it was the lackluster love interest and dull story line that bored me. It was the dullness of this third novel that kept me wishing I wasn't so attached to Joe, despite needing to find out what happens to Joe, I spent most of my time bored. The story itself is less than thrilling, it's boring. It's no You or Hidden Bodies. Mary Kay is no Beck or Love. Mary Kay is a sad housewife, a boring housewife, a dull, bland character with no redeeming qualities. Mary Kay is and was not a character I rooted for. Mary Kay's daughter was also a whiney, bland, disaster of a character. Everyone but Joe, was a pointless filler for this novel. This novel seems like a paycheck rather than a decent, enjoyable story.
Santino as always, did a wonderful job of narrating this story. His portrayal of Joe is both alluring and rough. He sounds like the Joe I picture in my head, his tone and colorfulness is the only reason this audiobook was worth it.
