Nick is an inspiration to the Cystic Fibrosis Community for not only the work he does to raise awareness and money but also for the huge challenges he pushes his mind and body through while having Cystic Fibrosis.
In this episode we are taken through a journey of what happened when Nick was diagnosed at 13 years old with CF and the fact his parents where told he was only expected to live until he was 16 to him achieving at age 40, the ultimate mountaineers goal of summiting Mount Everest, earth's highest mountain above sea level which stands at 8,488m, and being the first and only person to do this with Cystic Fibrosis. We also delve into his inspirations, mindset and he throws some questions back at me - not to be missed.
Nick has been someone I have looked up to for a very long time and actually one of the main inspirations when I was unwell to dig a little deeper and achieve some of the biggest goals I set myself in adventure and mountaineering. For me this interview not only left me inspired to push for bigger challenges, the feeling of what more could I do but also utter admiration for someone who’s so humble yet achieved so much and helped so many from those with CF to their parents and friends.
