Scripture Text: Genesis 32:9-10
This week our nation celebrates the holiday of Thanksgiving. Today, our world, our nation, and especially we ourselves are standing at an inflection point, facing a crisis, uncertain what the future will be; languishing between moving forward or backward, between hope and hate, between unity and division. But even at this critical point for Jacob, the son of the patriarch Abraham, he found a moment to lift up his hands in a humble prayer of thanks to God. In today’s message, Pastor Wallace teaches us a sort of model of what a prayer of thanksgiving should be. Summarily, Jabob teaches us that thanksgiving is really about seeing the big picture, and the big picture is absolutely loaded with blessings. With so many blessings bestowed on us, let us, with Jacob, take the time to offer our God a humble thank you. Praise God! Amen.
