  • Dusty Road Rabbi
    Sep 15 2022

Luke is back with another solo episode, don't worry Joe is ok! In this brief look at living life in the "dust of the Rabbi," Luke gives us some insight into the call of St. Peter, our example of constant redemption before Christ. We are called to imitate Christ's life and love, and live in such close proximity to Him that the dirt he kicks up as he walks clings to our legs.

  • The Gospel Message
    Sep 7 2022

Utilizing some FOCUS tools, Joe and Luke delve into a discussion on the Gospel. While we often think of the Bible as that good ole book that we should probably dust off and read every once in a while, on this week's episode we learn that it is more-so a life guide for how to live as true disciples of Christ who are called to spread that "good news" to everyone around us!

P.S. Apologies for the sirens, let's pray for whomever those emergency vehicles were going to!

  • You've Got A Friend In Me (& Jesus)
    May 18 2022

This time on YCMP, Luke has done some research on what makes a friend and discusses Aristotle's 3 types of friendship. He also asks that we analyze what kind of friend we've been to those close to us in our lives and how we can achieve true, loyal, virtuous friendships. How can we better reflect the greatest friend of all: Jesus?

Article cited in this episode: "The 3 Specific Types of Friendship According to the Philosophy of Aristotle" by Alberto Garcia. Published in The Philosophical Inn on Medium.com on July 31, 2021.

  • R.A.K.
    Apr 30 2022

He is Risen, Alleluia! It is the Easter season, and we are Easter people called to celebrate Christ's Resurrection and defeat of sin and death. This week on YCMP, Luke discusses our call to service. God gave us His Son as an example of eternal unconditional love and service, so we are called to reflect His actions in our day to day lives, assisting those who need it most even in the most simple of ways, the most random acts of kindness, and giving our all in whatever vocation God is calling us to.

  • That's My Mama
    Apr 9 2022

In Luke's first episode focusing on Mary, he starts by apologizing for missing a week's episode, but promises to do better.  Luke also begins with a brief commercial for the Patreon page, go check it out! He reaffirms our Lenten goal to reconcile with God and that we have an amazing Blessed Mother that will intercede for all our needs. This weeks challenge is to pray at least one Rosary, which, as Blessed Carlo Acutis says, is the "shortest ladder to heaven." We have to go through her to get to Him. Have a blessed Holy Week!
