  • Pay Kolmüs - Paying it Forward
    Jan 22 2025

The season finale is here. I'm so excited to finally share this conversation recorded a few months back but as fresh as ever.

Introducing the one and only Pay Kolmüs aka Pay Fresh who sat down with me for a very candid chat which taught me so much.

Pay is a music industry professional with over 25 years of experience, wearing many hats from music journalist, to moderator, to host and artist consultant. She created a Music Business Curriculum, teaches business masterclasses globally and holds a seat on the supervisory board of Melkweg in Amsterdam. Safe to say I was a bit intimidated by this powerhouse woman, yet was stoked to discover how warm, genuine and kind she actually is.

Hope you’ll appreciate our conversation about what it takes to make it in the industry as a woman, how to keep your integrity in the process, how to stay focused, confident and how to accept yourself. Pay gets very honest about her experiences and also tells a couple of fun stories involving some big profile names i.e. Kevin Hart (and more). Please enjoy & check out Pay’s universe on her Instagram.

Thank you for being part of the Add To Queue universe for its first season. This project has been a labour of love, which I started while being pregnant and juggling a full time job. My new life as a mom and full time employee has brought me a whole set of new challenges but also joys. As music continues to be one of my biggest passions, I am committed to continue to invest in ATQ for its second season, but I can't commit to a launch date yet. Hope you'll stick around and until next time, please don't stop the music.

  • Mariposa – Making it Happen One Rap at a Time
    Nov 30 2024

I am finally back (after a brief hiatus). Not only with a new episode, but also with a 4 month-old daughter.

Today's episode, recorded earlier this year while I was pregnant, is short & sweet, but FEISTY .

I haven’t met anyone as determined to make sh** happen as Mariposa. She completely won me over from our very first chat and I couldn’t wait to share with you her story and badass personality.

Her Spotify bio gives you a hint of who she is as an artist but in this conversation you will learn who the actual human behind the artist is and maybe get some inspiration to also grab your destiny in your own hands and build the life that you want, with integrity, creativity and courage (like she did).

She’s unapologetically herself, multi-talented, mega badass, but somehow manages to stay humble and super nice. She’s an actual queen.
Amsterdam raised, Colombian-Italian, Mariposa is the thrilling global Y2K-tinged artist you need to know. She is redefining what Latin rap can be today with her sound and DIY-aesthetic. She taught herself how to make music and put out her first songs in 2021. She is at the forefront of a movement shifting the music landscape to be more fluid and inclusive, representing a generation that exists between cultures, languages, genres and multi-dimensional identities.

Please enjoy our chat and watch out for more BTS content on the @addtoqueue_ IG. Also make sure to follow Mariposa and stream her music HERE.

    Thanks for listening!

  • On success, resilience and passion – Toya K
    Jul 14 2024

Today’s guest is a truly remarkable young woman. An example of resilience, perseverance, unapologetic optimism and relentless hard work, all in service of her lifelong pursuit to live and breathe her passion and purpose.

I felt truly blessed to have had the chance to meet the mega talented and warm-hearted Toya K, during her short visit to Amsterdam, from her current residence in Paris. In this episode, we discuss her roots, her values, stemmed from a unique upbringing in the the serene village of Grashoek, Namibia, her inspiring mindset, which we can all learn from and her selfless dedication to a greater purpose beyond her music success.

Toya K’s musical journey began at a young age when she actively participated in school choirs and talent shows. This passion for music was further fueled by the vibrant musical culture of the predominantly Ju/hoansi San community in her village, where singing and dancing were integral parts of life.

She particularly resonates with artists like Nina Simone, whose impactful song"Black Bird" left a profound mark on her, shaping her identity as a black woman in the most empowering way.

Toya made her debut in the music scene with the release of her song "On Time" in February 2022. She recently released her debut EP ‘Divine Intervention’ - a fusion of Afropop, Amapiano, and R&B/Soul elements, reflecting her diverse musical talents and her ability to evoke deep emotions through her music. She gives more details on her music process and the meanings of some of her most successful songs to date during our conversation. Please enjoy and don’t forget to follow Toya on Instagram @toyurrr and Spotify @Toya K.
