  • KCBS, in partnership with UCSF Health presents, As Prescribed, a weekly conversation with leading medical experts from UCSF Medical center and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. Alcohol warning labels are not new. For years, they have warned about the dangers for pregnant women and those who operate heavy machinery. But, the US Surgeon General is now calling for cancer warnings on those alcohol labels. For more, KCBS' Bret Burkhart spoke with Dr. Robert Hiatt, UCSF Professor Emeritus of Epidemiology & Biostatistics and the Associate Director for Population Sciences at the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
