Auntie Up!

  • Résumé

  • Auntie Up! is a celebration of Indigenous women talking about the important s***. Aunties can be counted on to speak their truth without the sugar-coating. They will tell you straight up what you need to know and they aren’t afraid to mince words. It is an unfiltered conversation into the Indigenous world view -- or at least the Auntie world view.

  • Ep 25: Walking with Grief
    Feb 14 2025

Join Auntie Jolene Banning and guests Shannon Gustafson and Genevieve Desmoulin in a heartfelt conversation about grief.

When you lose someone you love the pain is intense, raw, devastating and you wonder how do I go on? When you’re not thinking about that, there can be all sorts of thoughts running through your head from guilt, to regret to calmness to confusion. Now all alone, what are you supposed to do? How does one go on with their life? Or find joy and love again? But there is hope. There are many who have walked this walk. While I walk with my grief, I’d like to share all the love, kindness, and knowledge Aunties have to offer. I hope to better understand grief and learn ways to move through it, and hopefully help the next person on this journey.
