    Bible News Prophecy with Dr Bob Thiel EU-Mercosur Trade Deal: Babylonian Beast Prelude! The European Union just signed a trade deal (January 17, 2026) with the Mercosur block of countries. Is this a big deal? This is the largest trade deal Brussels or Latin America has ever concluded and it involves all the nations in the European Union six (including Venezuela)and all the nations in the Mercosur block of nations covering 700 million people.     Bible News Prophecy with Dr Bob Thiel Protests and Divide in the USA There have been many massive protests in the USA in 2025 and 2026. Consider that there are many immigrants in the United States. All are not here legally. Some people don’t mind; some people do. US President Trump has determined that illegal immigrants must be deported. A division of the United States government, the US Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division has been tasked with locating and deporting these people. While carrying out this task there are some government officials that accuse the ICE officers of “terrorizing” communities. At the same time, many legal citizens that have banded together to form an ICE protest group called the ICE Watch Network in an effort to thwart the effort of the ICE agents to perform their assigned task of deporting illegal immigrants. Recently, on two separate occasions, an illegal immigrant, convicted of sexually assaulting a minor dragged an ICE agent 100 yards with his car. Later that same agent was in the midst of a group of protesters when another confrontation occurred and a woman was shot and killed by the ICE agent. The United States is being divided against itself. Dr. Thiel listed as number 16 in his list of 26 items to prophetically watch in 2026 the following: "16. Unrest, Terror, and the Dividing of the USA. More protest, including violence is expected." Has this been prophesied in your Bible?     Bible News Prophecy with Dr Bob Thiel Myths about the Septuagint Old Testament Is the Septuagint the preferred and totally accurate translation of the Old Testament? Or is the Masoretic Text the preferred translation? Does it even make a difference? Has the Septuagint been promoted by many myths? There are several differences between the two translations. The Septuagint is a translation by people that could speak and write both Greek and Hebrew. According to legend, these 70 or so people were ordered by king Ptolemy of Egypt to translate the Hebrew Bible into Greek. But was their translation accurate? It is claimed in an article by Patrick O’Carroll that the Jews introduced several errors into the Hebrew language Masoretic text. In addition, Septuagint promoters have claimed that 'holy rabbis' deleted over 1,500 years from the Masoretic Text, so that would cast doubt on the timing of the arrival of the Messiah. Did that happen? Would that make a difference? The Septuagint also claims to have additional books into the Bible such as Psalm 151, the Psalms of Solomon, 1 Esdras, 2 Esdras, the Letter of Jeremiah, the Prayer of Manasseh, etc. Does that make a difference? According to the Roman Catholic saint and doctor Jerome, did Jesus and the disciples actually quote the Septuagint? Did Jerome oppose the additional books in the Septuagint (called deuterocanonical books by the Church of Rome) in favor of just the books in the Masoretic text? Different churches who use the Septuagint actually have different numbers of accepted books--do any of them have all of them? Jesus said (Matthew 4:4), "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Yet many of the added books introduced by the Septuagint translation have been lost. Does that make a difference (cf. John 17:17)? According to the Apostle Paul, scriptures (including the Old Testament) are to make Christians complete (2 Timothy 3:16-17; )--therefore, relying on an inaccurate version of the Old Testament is something that true Christians should not do. What do Protestants believe about the use of the Septuagint and the Masoretic Texts? What do the Roman Catholics and the Eastern Orthodox believe? What does the Continuing Church of God believe? What books of the Old Testament did Melito of Sardis accept? Does that make a difference? Did Origen of Alexander try to reconcile 6 different versions of the Septuagint in the 3rd century? Does the 'Great Isaiah Scroll' of the Dead Sea Scrolls support the Masoretic text? If there are two versions of the Old Testament, the Septuagint and the Masoretic, they can’t both be right as they do not agree with each other in many ways. But which one is right? Does believing the wrong translation make a difference? Does believing a lie make a difference? If reading an error filled translation of the Bible doesn’t make a difference in your life – why bother reading it?     Bible News Prophecy with Dr Bob Thiel Stop in the Name of God Prior to his death Charlie Kirk wrote a book titled “Stop in the Name of God”. The subtitle to his book is “Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life” In this book Mr. Kirk argues that it is more important than ever before to observe the 7th day Sabbath. Does it really make any difference what day someone goes to church? Mrs. Kirk, Charlie’s wife, stated on Fox News that “you don’t want to make it legalistic”. Does it make a difference if the Sabbath is THEE 7th day of the week (Saturday), or can the sabbath be just ANY day of the week, Sunday for example? Charlie Kirk was explicit in his belief that THEE sabbath was the 7th day of the week. Dr. Thiel shows from the pages of the Bible that there is right way and a wrong way to do things. Choosing to observe the 7th day sabbath is an example of the right way. Where did the 7th day Sabbath come from anyway? Was the Sabbath created? If so, how was it created and Who created it? God created the 7th day sabbath by resting. The Sabbath is God’s rest. We are invited to enter His rest by honoring and observing the 7th day Sabbath. Dr. Thiel also points out that the Apostles kept the 7th day Sabbath and quotes Hebrews 4, verses 3 through 6 that God proclaims there will be those that SHALL NOT ENTER HIS REST. Then in verse 9 God encourages us to enter His rest while the opportunity still exists.
