Plagued by guilt from his failure the day before, Liam wakes late, weighed down by the burden of his mistakes. Seeking comfort, he buries himself in his morning routine, avoiding the inevitable confrontation with the day. When he finally faces Father Denholm to confess his failure to deliver the letter, the priest, ever patient, offers his guidance but admits his own frustrations with Liam's apparent lack of self-worth.

In the calm that follows, Denholm reveals his connection to Odel, giving Liam new insights before he sets out once again to complete the task given to him by Norrie.
