    In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Nicolas Lamp of the Faculty of Law to discuss breaking news from the United States concerning announcements from the incoming Donald Trump administration that the new President intends to impose 25% tariffs on goods from both Canada and Mexico heading into the US. To learn more about the issues and potential impacts of this proposed policy for Canadians and Canadian industry, we caught up with Lamp, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law cross appointed with the School of Policy Studies, and also serves as the Director of the Annual Queen’s Institute on Trade Policy, a professional training course for Canadian trade officials that is hosted by the Queen’s School of Policy Studies. Chancellor Rogers was installed at the first ceremony of the Fall 2024 Convocation period. In this episode, we share a recording of CFRC’s live broadcast of the 2024 Queen’s University Tricolour Awards Ceremony where Niki Boytchuk Hale, Kyla Gibson, Tara Rezvan, and Meena Waseem were inducted into the Tricolour Society. The event took place at the University Club on April 5th and was broadcasted locally on CFRC 101.9 FM and streamed globally via cfrc.ca.

    Outgoing Queen’s Rector Owen Crawford-Lem has issued an invitation to the Tricolour Awards and induction gala to be held at the University Club on April 5th.     In this episode, we present an exclusive interview with Calder Bryson, Chief Electoral Officer for the Alma Mater Society undertaken on February 2nd 2024. Bryson discusses electoral processes for the AMS Executive Team following the January 31st withdrawal of a team member from JNN, the potential impacts for student engagement with the voting process for the Rector positions and fee-seeking clubs on the referendum ballot, and the importance of slates and neutrality for the AMS in the election cycles.
