  • A Simple Explanation of the American Bank Failures: For Canadians (Silicon Valley Bank)
    Mar 16 2023

American banks have been going bankrupt.  Why?  Will this affect Canada or Canadians?  Will this affect me?  I try to explain the banking failures in the United States very simply, by answering Jenny's questions about Silicon Valley Bank and what went wrong.  I am no banking expert nor do I have a crystal ball that sees into the future, but I try to create calm amidst the storm and hope that Canadians have enough financial literacy to have faith in their banks.
