Prior to his current position, Russ served as president and CEO of Blue Trust (2002 – 2017). From 1999 – 2002, Russ served as executive director of the National Christian Foundation (NCF).

Russ is the author of several books including Your Life Well Spent, The Truth About Money Lies, What Makes a Leader Great, Your Money Made Simple, and Leverage. He has also been a featured speaker in many venues.

Russ graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in mathematics and a master’s degree in education. Russ and Julie live in Roswell, Georgia. Rich’s ministry includes founding Alpha World Ministries, which did the original Do You Believe event, chairing the council in the Tarpon Springs church his family and he attended, leading small groups and Bible studies, organizing hurricane relief, among other serving positions.

After finishing college in the Tampa, Florida, area, he and his family felt led to Portland, Oregon, where they currently divide their time with Tampa Florida. He and his wife of thirty-seven years have three grown children.
