Ryan “Burger” McCurdy of the Ranked podcast is back to discuss the 1999 supernatural spiritual flick that was released right before Johnny Depp’s career exploded. I had the chance to listen to the audiobook this is based on and we do comparisons between the two and so much more! Per usual, Burger brings the facts and he and I had more information to talk about than the average podcast, and this is a two-parter.

    I’ve known filmmaker Michael Ciminna for a number of years and I always wanted to bring him on the pod but our schedules never lined up. This Halloween he’s releasing a great proof of concept film called “Jack’s Lantern” about a young boy who believes his jack-o-lanterns can come to life. We talk about growing up and riding bikes, making movies and more!
    Check out “Jack’s Lantern” streaming on YouTube and Vimeo! While you’re there, check out Ciminna’s other film, “By The Campfire,” a great psychological thriller short.
