Consolation is not on the Map

Auteur(s): Neil Fitzgerald
  • Résumé

  • A Western, of sorts.

When a mysterious hole opens up in Consolation, a stranger also arrives to document the event. The two events must be linked in someway, at least that's what thinks our narrator, a black dwarf who works at the GiddyTimes saloon thinks.

Written and recorded (and read in part) by Neil Fitzgerald.

No man had made it, that we knew. Not time enough, for it was the work of one night, and not even, but a minute, maybe less. Soft thunder that woke most who heard it as muffled cannon fire or dynamite down a mineshaft in their dreams.

A mysterious hole appears in Consolation, which soon draws in prospectors, charlatans, and other poor misguided wretches from all over Zobesland. Then one day, an even stranger stranger appears.

Rumour had it that Redchops and his gang had been spotted raisin’ hell over in Forbearance, a town known for its leniency with hell-raisers.

The arrival of hell-raiser Redchops will have terrible consequences for the new stranger in town, especially when the latter makes a bizarre proclamation about the mysterious hole.
