  • Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. Using AI to appeal the denial of health insurance claims. That’s what a start up called Counterforce Health is all about. Co-founder Neal Shah says using a secure server based version of DeepSeek AI, the paperwork for appealing denied claims can be done in just a few minutes at a cost of about two cents….far cheaper than the 40 dollars or more it costs typically. About the need, Shah says..

    “Many insurers, due to a combination of less regulation, a significant amount of mergers and consolidation of power, have now started just rapidly denying claims, almost algorithmically.”

    For now…the service is free at CounterforceHealth.org. Shah, by the way also heads CareYaya, a groundbreaking services, also utilizing AI to provide in home care that is often better and cheaper.
