Welcome back to Missionary Roundtable!
In this episode I talk to James Fyffe, former missionary and current pastor and professor at Midtown Baptist Temple and Living Faith Bible Institute in Kansas City, MO. In addition to English, James speaks Spanish and Urdu. Sometimes the topic of language learning can seem a bit mysterious to new and prospective missionaries. We try bring you behind the scenes by comparing some of the differences in strategies when learning different languages, and what kind of expectations missionaries should have when beginning language school on the field. We share our own stories of victory and failure, and also talk about some language logistics like CEFR levels (A1, A2, B1...etc.)
New episodes are now released whenever available, not in a seasonal format. Although there is no set release schedule, new episodes will always be released on Wednesdays. So check back often, and turn on notifications so you don't miss new episodes!
