  • During the age of innocence, the khasi people believed that there was a divine connection
    between the heavens and the creatures on earth. This is a tragic story about a peacock who
    initially fell for the sun’s beauty but in the end betrayed and left her for the earth’s grand
    luxuries which turned out to be ordinary mustard flowers upon reaching earth.
