  • They say “All that glitters is not gold” is best suited to describe a tale about a stag who was
    enchanted by the beauty of the Khasi Land. He then left everything behind and ran away to
    this mesmerizing place. But upon reaching, he was suddenly struck with an Arrow by a
    Hunter and he was dead on the spot. The mother was deeply saddened by his death and
    began to mourn in a way that it became become habitual among mourners in the funeral to
    this day.
