And low did the sunrise on a most festive day and cast its radiance into the places where people preparing themselves for merriment as such they could. Good, the sun thought to itself, people seem pleased and are making merry; all is well with the world. Then, upon the horizon, it saw the coming of the Tragedy of Geeks and realised that they had come to force themselves in amidst the festivities for good or for ill. The sun decided that it had seen enough and buggered off so as not to have to listen to nonsense on a day such as this. Because it had left there was no day. So there.
