  • 🎙️ In this episode of the Men Above Reproach Podcast, we discuss the 1st month of the 90-day Purity Challenge and how Bible Verse Memorization has helped in our pursuit of purity. We also talk about some of the health electives we did, such as averaging 7.5+ hours of sleep and tracking nutrition.

    📅 February Challenge: We're doing the Fasting Elective together:

    • 📵 Social Media Fast for 1 month
    • 🍽️ 48-hour Food Fast

    📖 Notes & Tips if You're New to Fasting:

    • It’s not a command in the Bible, but it’s implied by how it's talked about.

    🙏 Purpose of Fasting:

    1. Prayer
    2. Guidance
    3. Repentance
    4. Overcoming temptation

    Choose how you want to grow spiritually—fill the absence of food with a spiritual discipline:

    • 📖 Scripture reading or memory
    • 🙏 Prayer
    • 📝 Journaling
    • 🤝 Serving
    • 🧘‍♂️ Quiet time & repentance
    • ⚔️ Fighting temptation

    • 🏋️‍♂️ 2 workouts/day for a month (minimum of 5-min workout)
    • 📵 Social Media Fast for 1 month & 48-hr food fast
    • 🍽️ Invite someone over for dinner that you know but who isn’t a believer
    • ⛪ Invite someone to church with you who doesn’t normally go
    • 💬 1 meal & conversation with a homeless person
