  • In this privacy-themed episode, Ifeoluwa Ebiseni (Associate, AELEX), talks with Femi Daniel, Senior Counsel, Privacy and Data Protection, Mastercard, about the role he played in the development of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), Nigeria's first data protection legislation. Although the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 has taken the place of the NDPR as the principal data protection law, many of its provisions and the institutional framework supporting privacy in Nigeria were set up in the wake of the NDPR.

    1. The inspiration for developing the NDPR;
