With a PhD in philosophy from UC Berkeley, she applies her expertise in the philosophy of machine learning to build AI ethics strategies for startups, integrate AI Ethics into ESG questionnaires, develop an AI ethics toolkit for investors, focused on guiding VCs in incorporating AI ethics in their work and conducting research on how to implement AI ethics theories and principles.

    In this episode, we discuss the social and political aspects of AI, the theory of longtermism and how any hopes of a democratic tech society are rooted in norm-conforming social deliberation.
