Unlike many other Civil War museums, Kenosha's museum places a strong emphasis on the everyday life of this period, allowing visitors to make deeper connections to the past through those who lived through the war, going beyond just the military aspects.

Doug highlights the immersive learning experience that museums offer, emphasizing the significance of interacting with three-dimensional objects to truly understand historical events and contexts.
