  • The health sector, which saves lives every single day, should it also take responsibility for greenhouse gas emissions like other sectors? What are the main contributors to greenhouse gas emissions from this sector? How can we reduce them?


    In this episode, we talk to researcher Anand Bhopal, who defended his Ph.D. on June 17, 2024, at the University of Bergen with the dissertation "Fair Pathways to Net Zero Healthcare."


    We discuss issues such as how reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the healthcare sector can contribute to high-quality healthcare, how climate change should affect priorities in health, and how SDG number 3, Good Health and Well-being, has become a driving factor within the context of all Sustainable Development Goals globally.
