Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, tackles the subject of forgiveness. In this podcast, he refers to the numerous verses in Scripture promising that Jesus will forgive our sins. Leaning on the teachings of theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer he points out that God’s grace comes with certain costs. It is pointed out that the Scripture is replete with instructions about obedience being required to be a follower of Christ. Scripture verses that teach God sent his son to be the propitiation of our sin is explained. Dr. Hall uses the famous parable of the King and the Maiden to provide understanding about why God felt it was necessary to send his son to die on the cross. God requires us to forgive others if we expect him to forgive us. Dr. Hall reviews seven misunderstandings about the forgiveness of others.
