À propos de cet audio

In an age where perception is fact and negativity and conflict remain entertainment, it can be difficult and sometimes troubling to find a positive and try and understand another’s perspective. Join Josh C. Jones, an author, teacher, speaker, and more, as he discusses different topics in an attempt to showcase a differing perspective with a nugget of positivity and truth. Let's ask those questions, travel some of those logical thought trails, think outside the current culture's accepted cognition, and find some valuable information, which could very well bring hope, understanding, and a proper perspective to our lives. With these podcast episodes, as with my books and writings, I hope to help you rebuild your faith, reignite your hope, overcome depression, open that dialogue, and reach your destiny of richness, success, and life. All material has been previously copyrighted with the U.S. Library of Congress. • 105: Destiny Decoded (Ep 01) The Destiny Dilemma
    Sep 2 2025

Are you the architect of your own future—or just the unlucky extra in a cosmic soap opera? In this kickoff episode of Destiny Decoded, Josh C. Jones tackles the age-old question: are we fated to follow a predetermined script, or are we free to improvise? If you’ve ever blamed your horoscope for a bad day or wondered why your life isn’t narrated by Morgan Freeman, you’re in the right place.

With humor, insight, and a few punches of perspective, Josh walks us through the dilemma of destiny—why it's not as much about luck or fate as it is about the power of choice. Whether you're dodging bad decisions like potholes or stuck wondering why your life feels like reruns, this episode will help you realize that you’re not stuck with the script—you’re holding the pen. Let’s rewrite your scene, shall we?

This 7-part series is brought to you by the book DESTINY: Rich or Poor, Life or Death, Choose Your Destiny

  • Episode 104: The Civil War and Slavery (PART 4)
    Aug 19 2025

The Civil War was the bloodiest war fought on American soil, and it was fought by Americans. But there have been many misconceptions about this time of American history; some are understandably so, and others are done intentionally. In this 4-part series we will take a look at some of the Civil War's forgotten history and dive a little deeper into the rough waters known as the history of slavery in America. Some of what we discover might shock you; some might outright offend you; but it is only through research that we can truly understand this time in America and hopefully become better informed about topics that have become so political in our time that families tear each other apart with hate and end this ignorance that divides Americans.

We will learn more about the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln, General Robert E. Lee, secession, state’s rights, the Union, and slavery.
