  • Résumé

  • Is Seinfeld still funny in 2020? Emma is 35 and has never watched an episode (in its entirety). Ryan grew up with Seinfeld in the 90's and estimates that 40% of his pop culture references are from the show. Each podcast dives into different Seinfeld episodes and explores how the iconic show about nothing holds up in today's world, or doesn't.

Ryan and Emma are back to discuss "The Baby Shower" and "The Chinese Restaurant" from Season 2. Join us as we run through some of the following topics:

    - How can we still be "Funny in 20" if it's now 2021? Poor planning on our part.
    - Boston Police beware, Emma texts and drives constantly
    - Was the FBI cable scam dream sequence funny, or just stupid?
    - Do men really hunt and women nest with the remote control?
    - Cell phones would have solved the whole problem of "The Chinese Restaurant"
    - Just how bad is "Plan 9 From Outer Space"?
    - Emma's family once ate "antique hot dogs"
    - The first edition of EPISODE TRIVIA. (You can imagine how Emma did.)

Also, Mike actually agrees with Ryan that men don't share intimate details, but he is not happy about being "The Takes Nazi" and wants a different moniker.

WE'RE BACK. BABY! After a two-month hiatus, Ryan and Emma are back to get into Season 2 Episodes 7, 8, and 9: "The Revenge," "The Heart Attack," and "The Deal." Ryan tells us about his own fake heart attack scare while Emma is concerned for George's health and just wants him to have regular medium orgasms. Then we talk about quitting your job on a whim and the beauty of Jerry and Elaine's "deal." Meanwhile, the Takes Nazi, Michael Walsh, is horrified that Ryan has never seen "I Love Lucy" or "Jurassic Park."

    Aug 24 2020
Ryan and Emma get into dating signals and unwritten rules brought up by Season 2 Episode 4 "The Phone Message."

Ryan, like George, dreams of having 365 pairs of underwear. Emma likes "I Love Lucy" but Ryan has never seen a single episode. Emma wants to have guys call the next day if they want and Ryan used to live next to the Polar bottling factory before millennials killed soda. Also, Emma wants any future dating partners to know that with her, coffee means coffee.

Meanwhile, Mike was too young to go to Vietnam but also too old to go to World War II, and he loves jackets with interesting linings.
