My name is Turan Mirza, the name is Turkish and I was born and grew up in Northern Ireland.Feel Good Hypnosis is my business name. Within the business I’m the only full time hypnotist covering personal change (hypnotherapy), providing talks on hypnosis and training people through hypnosis and many other related techniques. What’s with the name? It was only a matter of time before I formalised the art of hypnosis into Feel Good Hypnosis, helping people overcome anxiety, depression and many life changing issues through the use of hypnosis, NLP, Provocative Change Work, IEMT, EFT and many other related tools to improve the quality of peoples lives.Given my name is Turan and, I’ll be the first to admit it, not everyone knows how to pronounce it, not to mention my surname Mirza, when it came to setting up a business I wanted an easy to say name that communicated what I did. At the time it was not just myself, as I said Jonathan was with me and Daryl was starting to learn from us. So I did not want to call the business “Turan Mirza Hypnosis” or “Turan and Son’s Hypnosis”, I’m a proud father and they do sound nice to me but in this modern world of the internet I wanted something people could spell without checking. Hence we created “Feel Good Hypnosis”.If you are speaking to me and you’re not sure how to say my name, firstly I respond to anything as I’m used to a range or pronunciation. But I advise people to phonetically pronounce Turan as ‘2-ran’ and Mirza as Meer-za. Hypnosis Around the World I have hypnotised people in a wide range of locations from Las Vegas and Houston Texas, to Edinburgh Scotland and all over Northern Ireland. Training Others I now teach others how hypnosis works and how they can use it to improve their lives and others. How did I get started? My interest in hypnosis started many years ago, starting as merely a curiosity after performing a few simple magic tricks for my four children. While researching a trick I came across hypnosis. As I learned more and more, starting to attend professional training, I entertained at personal social events like family birthday parties and at Christmas. It was at this time Jonathan joined me in entertaining people. It was not long before word spread and we were asked to perform at events. When did you move from hypnotist to hypnotherapist? As our popularity grew we were asked more and more about the good hypnosis could do to change peoples lives - “can you help me stop smoking?” or “I’m having trouble sleeping, can you help?”. It was at this point that my interest in the change work side of hypnosis evolved. Learning different techniques for working with adults and children, and studying and becoming certified in specialist areas like Sexual Freedom Hypnosis and Dental Hypnosis, known as Hypnodontics.
