  • Sabrina Mar, Part II
    Dec 18 2024

Sabrina Mar enjoyed many successful years as a competitive gymnast as a member of the US National Team from 1982 to 1988. She won the All-Around title in the 1985 Championships of the USA.

Sabrina was a two-time World Championship Team Member (1985, 1987) and the 1987 Pan American All-Around Champion. An injury prevented her from completing the 1988 Olympic Team Trials. She was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2004.

After gymnastics, Sabrina graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Physiological Science and went on to become a Certified Athletic Trainer. When an unexpected detour led her to the animation field, she became a character animator, working on the TV cartoon ”South Park“ for several seasons. Eventually, Sabrina transitioned into the unscripted and documentary television field, where she currently works as an Emmy-Nominated Post Executive Producer.

In 2018, Sabrina and several of her teammates were awarded The Foundation for Global Sports Development Humanitarian Award for their advocacy work on behalf of athlete survivors. She continues to advocate for the safety of athletes today.

In her spare time, Sabrina enjoys spending time in her shop, woodworking. She is the owner of the Etsy store, Park Street Goods: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ParkStreetGoods

Blake Palmquist is a former collegiate and professional soccer player, whose 22-year career also contained years of anxiety, stress, depression, and other obstacles that would ultimately cause him to shorten his lifelong dream of playing professionally.

He joined Athletes for Hope, a non-profit that supports athletes with guidance and resources to make a difference in their communities. Blake became the co-chair of their newly formed Athlete Mental Health Advisory Committee, furthering his goal to spark change, provide support, and instill hope and reassurance to others that it is ok to share how you feel and to not be afraid of what others may think.
