Like what the themes and symbolism were, the social backdrop and conditions it was made against, and there’s nothing quite like realizing a film has aged like fine wine. On the other hand you may also find that your favourite movie characters were stalkers who didn't deserve love but some jail time, the hairstyle you copied was extremely cheesy, and the moral lessons to take away from those films were a tad bit problematic.
