Hi minds,
Thank you for tuning in to the first ever episode of mindful leadership podcast, I'm your host Klyn Elsbury.
Like you, there was a point at which I felt moved to share mindfulness with as many people as possible. In other episodes you'll hear what propelled me to study this field and some of the turning points in my life where being mindful perhaps saved me.
You see, I was born with cystic fibrosis.
I lost my career in part because of my failing health; when years ago I had to file for social security disability. While unemployed spending upwards of 6 months a year in hospitals, I had to learn new strategies and develop tools to get me through the most dire of situations. That's when my journey will mindfulness began. As I started becoming healthier, I met incredible entrepreneurs and executives. Ironically- they were feeling the same feelings in their businesses as I was feeling in hospitals. Anxiety, overwhelm, fear of losing it all, questioning themselves and worth. I noticed it didn't matter if I was walking the walls of a hospital because I couldn't sleep or if they were walking into a board room after a night of unrest, what was happening in my mind was the same experience.
I know what a source of joy
This podcast will share beautiful ways to deepen your own mindfulness journey while holding the space for others to deepen theirs.
