Vera is the captain of a calm and courageous ship - navigating complex emotion through her practice, and I highly recommend going to check out her solo exhibition 'Two Oceans Apart' this Spring!

This week I'm pretty excited to introduce you to someone you will definitely not have heard of, you may not have even heard of his magazine either BUT this guest has been a major player in Southampton's music scene.

From interviewing bands including Coldplay and The Killers, to reviewing music across so many genres, Alan Downes has traveled many an avenue. Throughout the 2000's you would've been likely to find him in or below his office inside The Joiners - I'm going to assume you've heard of it! Here we discuss his most notable adventures with Logo Magazine, how and why you need to think about monetising your creativity, and the deep philosophies from his years in the music industry.

Welcome to Season 03, it's finally here 🙌

The very first episode had to be something a bit special, so I sat down with my mum (Kate) and picked her brain on the links between creativity in adulthood and childhood, as well as how we connect the two.

Whether you have children or not, this episode was a fantastic reminder on how getting into nature can spark our natural creativity, sense of place and belonging, and even remind us our femur might turn up unexpectedly on a sandy hill one day long after we've gone!
