    Leading up to this years conference, which is going to be held in Cologne from June 9th until June 13th of this year, we want to dive into the vibrant, transformative, and sometimes rebellious world of carnival.

    This year’s theme is Performing Carnival: Ekstasis, Subversion, Metamorphosis, and we will try to get to the bottom of what that could mean over the course of the next few months.

    You can expect interviews with experts, conversation and discussion on carnival, Cologne, and the conference itself. Apart from that, we want to prepare you for your visit to our city with facts, information and anecdotes on Cologne culture and customs, to maybe become your everyday companion for finding your way around.
